His long awaited album, aptly named Finally, has made Bart Crow and his band a favorite on the Texas circuit, with songs like “Drifting In The Wind” and “Wear My Ring,” both of which have spent time on the Texas music charts.
Crow has come a long way since kindergarten when he won 6th place in his grammar school’s talent show. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army, where in his spare time he learned to play guitar. After separating from the military, he attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, where the idea of a life of music began to grow.
Today, Bart Crow performs between 15 and 20 shows per month. Friday’s gig at Blaine’s Pub in San Angelo was not his first but it was his most successful, with a line out the door even before the first set was over, thanks to the out-of-town crowds generated by the 2007 Wrangler Roping Fiesta being held up the road at the San Angelo Coliseum complex.
After that set, LIVE! caught up with Bart and asked him a few questions about his success, his life and what’s on the horizon. Check out our Podcast.
The Bart Crow Band is comprised of lead guitarist Paul Russell, drummer Drew Campbell and bassist Rocky Garza. You can sample his music on iTunes (click here) .

Great article here, and I really appreciate the podcast format!
I just listened to your podcast and am so impressed with how gracious and grounded Bart sounds. Seems like the type of guy who will not let any future success change him - let us hope. Thanks for the interview.
