Part of Fox News’s coverage of today’s MLK national holiday has included—what else?—bashing Ron Paul.

Having done some stories on Paul and his zealous grassroots followers, I’m aware they think Fox News is out to smear them. I was only half convinced of this after several Paul “followers” forwarded YouTube clips of Paul’s interaction with Fox reporters. Sure, many of them are caustic to him, but Fox news doesn’t hire anchors for their friendliness.

Not that you give that much attention to franchises, but…it always amazes me what the hot new ones are. You see a McDonald’s on every street corner and think that’s gotta be the No.1 franchise, right? Well, it’s in the top 10, but not No. 1, according to a recent article from Entrepreneur.com.  And did you know that RE/MAX realty is a franchise? Last Friday, reports of snow in Baghdad abounded. More than one quoted citizen repeated feeling, not unsurprisingly, like the event may have been something sent by God. And not just in the Creationist sense. One article had Fawzi Karim, who runs a small restaurant six miles outside the capital, asking, "I don't know whether or not it's a lesson from God."
