Inititally scheduled to be held on El Paso de Santa Angela, the Q's Printing Wine, Brew, and Food Tasting Finale will instead be held at 17 E. Twohig Ave. in the parking lot between the U.S. Federal Building and Tarpley Music, according to a statement released from The City of San Angelo on midmorning Thursday.
The San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council opted to move the event to avoid congesting the area around the neighboring Fort Concho Historical Landmark. The fort is housing hundreds of children moved there by law enforcement as part of an investigation of a polygamist sect in Eldorado.
The Wine and Food Festival serves as the Cultural Affairs Council's biggest fundraiser of the year. The council works to present, promote, and improve artistic and cultural activities in the Concho Valley; to offer planning, coordinating, and promotional services to arts and cultural groups; and to encourage participation in and appreciation of the arts, especially through local programs.
