The River Walk and El Paseo de Santa Angela are all aglow with a spectacular array of Christmas lights in the month of December. More than 4 million Christmas lights are lit each night, many illuminating large-scale animated scenes, trees and the 12 days of Christmas. Tour starts at Abe and 1st streets. FMI call 325-655-5000. With a big kick off Friday, November 30th the show will be open every Friday and Saturday through the month of December. The doors open to a Winter Wonderland of holiday decorations inside and out of the Historic Depot, beautifully decorated trees with model trains of every size running on several different layouts from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Each Friday and Saturday a special Christmas story for children will be presented at 7 p.m. Santa will be at the show every night through the 22nd so children of all ages can talk to him and his helpers. "The Gospel According to Scrooge" is a musical, a Christian adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The principal characters in "Scrooge" and the Dickens' classic remain the same. Ebenezer Scrooge is tight fisted, money loving, joy hating old man who has let life pass him by. Bob Cratchit, Scrooge's nephew, not only works for the hard hearted old miser but does his best to change his uncle's perspective on Christmas and life. But to no avail. Start: 7:30 pm

Kelly Spinks, born in Mullin, Texas, has made Brownwood his home for many years. He has a rich history of being a sideman for some of the greats of Texas country music: Johnny Bush, Frenchie Burke, Hank Thompson to mention a few notables. Kelly has been playing professionally for 20 years and has had some of the same band members with him for over a decade. Start: 9:30 pm
