The San Angelo rodeo committee is searching for singing talent for their upcoming Rodeo Idol contest Jan. 26th at Sunset Mall. The competition was created for contestants to sing a "signature song" from our selections or bring their own accompaniment. The competition is for individuals only and no lip-synching allowed. Contestants must be 14 years of age or older in order to compete. Time: 10 a.m. signup, 1 p.m. open call for singers. At Sunset Mall.

The Concho Valley Disc Golf Association presents the 2008 disc golf Ice Bowl to benefit the food bank. At Bright Brewing in Eola, Texas. Bring three canned goods and $10 to registration at 10:15. Tee time at 11:00.

Jordan Mycoskie...From Fort Worth, Texas writes, sings, records, erases, distributes, dreams, loves, hates, quits, tries, produces, engineers, crafts, lives, dies, breathes, eats, drinks, fills, spills, sweeps, mops and performs folk music. His band THE FIRE BREATHING FISH, is comprised of the finest, most professional musicians in the state, who create an experience paralell to none. Jordan Mycoskie and The Fire Breathing Fish. His experiences as a traveler have molded him into one of the most thoughtful and engaging songwriters of his generation.
