McNeese Convention Center in San Angelo, Texas

The City of San Angelo McNease Convention Center, at 500 Rio Concho Drive, recently underwent its first extensive renovation since the building opened in 1978. The $3.8 million construction project was completed in October 2008. It resulted in five new breakout meeting rooms and an additional 7,000 square feet in public space capable of accommodating 1,000 more people.

The Convention Center is available for booking a year out for private events and even longer for large, public events and conventions. The venue's most popular space offers more than 12,000 square feet in the largest meeting room in the middle of the building. This space can accommodate 2,000 people in a theater-style arrangement, 1,200 people in banquet style seating or 900 at round tables.

The large meeting room is capable of being divided into three equal spaces and hosts a wide variety of events, including conventions, trade shows, luncheons, speeches, dinner dances, wedding receptions and quinceaneras.
