Traffic Snarled After Cadillac and Mustang Collide on South Bryant

 

A woman driving a Cadillac STX sedan failed-to-yield the right-of-way when turning onto South Bryant Blvd. and caused a major crash.

According to San Angelo police, a Ford Mustang was northbound on S. Bryant in the left-most lane when the Cadillac turning north onto Bryant from Ave. N entered its path of travel. With no time to stop or avoid a collision, the Mustang was struck.

The Mustang driver sustained minor cuts from the deployment of the car’s airbags. The Cadillac driver was transported to the hospital.

Police said that all indications are that the Cadillac driver failed to yield. The investigation is not complete until police interview the Cadillac driver at the hospital.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. and snarled rush hour traffic on S. Bryant for 45 minutes as crash crews picked up the wreckage.
