Unlicensed, Uninsured Pickup Driver Runs Red Light, Plows into Little Nissan

A woman was rushed to the hospital this morning when a driver of a Chevrolet 1500 Silverado T-boned her as she was driving eastbound on 29th St. through the N. Bryant Ave. intersection in a Nissan.

According to San Angelo police, the Chevy driver didn’t have a driver’s license and the vehicle wasn’t insured. He disregarded the red light and plowed into the woman’s Nissan Sentra, police said.

The driver of the Nissan was rushed to Shannon Medical Center after being loaded on a gurney.

The pickup driver was unhurt.

Police said each vehicle only had a driver each. There were no other occupants. However, the owner of the Chevy pickup appeared at the scene. Police found the party and issued an additional citation to the owner for allowing an unlicensed driver to operating their uninsured pickup.

The pickup driver was cited for no license, no insurance, and disregarded a red light. The crash happened at approximately 9:34 a.m. this morning.
