Head-on Crash Reported Near Coleman Friday Night

 

COLEMAN, TX — Three people were seriously injured in a crash on SH 153 west of Coleman Friday night, according to Coleman Now, a local Internet news source for Coleman.

Coleman Now reported that the 9-1-1 call came in at 10:20 p.m.

“The wreck is between the top of the hill and Holiday Hill entrance,” Coleman Now reported. Google Maps displays a two-lane highway at the location.

The report stated six people were rushed by ambulance to the Coleman County Medical Center. Coleman police told Coleman Now that the crash was a head-on collision caused when an eastbound Toyota SUV attempted to pass a slower-moving vehicle and collided with a westbound Ford Mustang.

Back at the Coleman hospital just after midnight, three life flight helicopters were seen transporting patients to larger hospitals in the region, Coleman Now reported.
