SAPD Confirms Arrest of San Angelo Woman in Double Homicide

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - About an hour ago, 27-year-old Krystal Nicole Sanchez was booked into the Tom Green County Jail for a Capital Murder of Multiple Persons charge.

This arrest is possibly related to last week's double homicide. Two men, Jimmy Andrew Gonzales, 28, and Anthony Martinez, 28, were killed in a shooting in the 1000 block of Rio Grande St. Two previous arrests have been made (see here), and one warrant remains active for another possible suspect, Raymond Alvarado Jr.

This is Sanchez's 5th arrest in Tom Green County.

We will provide an update once we receive more details about this arrest.

Update 6:30 p.m.

San Angelo Police Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said, this afternoon, investigators with SAPD's Criminal Investigations Division arrested 27-year-old Krystal Nicole Sanchez in connection to the double homicide of Gonzalez and Martinez on September 12, 2016 at a residence in the 1000 block of Rio Grande. 

Gonzalez also reaffirmed the arrests of 27-year-old Justin Gamez and 25-year-old Ricky Ray Ortegon Zuniga.

"Sanchez, Gamez, and Zuniga have all been charged with Capital Murder of Multiple Persons," said Gonzalez. "Police are still searching for a fourth suspect, 27-year-old Raymond Alvarado, Jr.  Alvarado, [who] has an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Capital Murder of Multiple Persons." 

Alvarado is 5’10”, 190 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous.
