San Angelo Man Wanted on Warrant Attempts to Flee Police

SAN ANGELO, TX - A 28-year-old San Angelo man wanted on an outstanding warrant attempted to flee police this evening; however, his attempt proved to be unsuccessful.

Just before 5 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Guadalupe Street for the report of an unwanted subject.

An officer at the scene said, upon initial contact, the "subject" fled and refused to stop despite officer requests to do so.

"He was located in a house nearby, in somebody else's backyard," said the officer. "He was taken into custody without issue."

The officer said the man, later identified as Dustin Duffy, had an outstanding warrant, possession of an illegal substance, and would also be charged for evading arrest and criminal trespass.

Duffy was transported and booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 6:33 p.m. His bond is set at $2,000.
