The Health Department to be closed on December 1

 

The San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department will be closed December 1, said a press release Wednesday. The staff will be offering HIV and sexually transmitted disease testing at Angelo State University as a part of World AIDS Day.

The weekly immunization clinic that is normally on Tuesdays will be moved to Wednesday, December 2 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. No tuberculosis tests will be performed.

The Health Department is located in Suite 8 at 2030 Pulliam Street.

According to the press release, the Texas Vaccines for Children program provides free vaccines to health care providers to immunize uninsured and underinsured children from birth to 18 years of age.

Normal operating hours for the Health Department are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
