Jim Bass Ford Giveaway Brings Hope for Winner

SAN ANGELO,TX - The Jim Bass Ford and Trucks Giveaway continued today, with five finalists being entered to win a new 2016 Ford Fiesta.

The winner of the October drawing, Nailah Jernigan, went away with the fourth of six new vehicles being given in this year's contest.

“I didn’t have high expectations, [and] I didn’t think I could win,” Jernigan explained. Signing up for contests is typically not in her interest given the low chance of winning, she said.

Jernigan also said, on the day she was called and told about being one of the five finalists for the drawing, she couldn’t believe the news.

“I was about to go get my tires changed on my car when I got the phone call,” she explained. “I was having a really bad day before the call.”

Having the new car means a lot to Jernigan, for she was currently borrowing her grandfather’s car. The vehicle she was driving previously had broken down.

Todd Price, General Manager for the dealership, explained the contest was part of a $100,000 giveaway that started back in July of this year. The car in the drawing switches between a new Ford and new Nissan every other month. The November drawing will be for a Nissan.

“Each vehicle is valued over $16,667 to be given out through the year,” Price stated. “We always try to do at least one, if not several, promotions throughout the year.”  

Those who didn’t win this time are still being put into the drawing for November and December. Anyone who is interested can still enter the contest by test driving at the Ford dealership at 4302 W Houston Harte Expressway.
