Come Visit Old Town Second Saturdays

San Angelo businesswoman Season Neucere has initiated a small entrepreneurial event called “Old Town Second Saturdays” held on (you guessed it!) the second Saturday of every month in the historic area around the block of 500 Orient, which is south of downtown and behind Fort Concho and the farmers’ market.

From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., vendors and craftsmen set up shop on the paved areas next to her shop, Seasons Change Design and Concho Jewelry. There are a variety of vendors selling jewelry, handmade candles, children’s clothing, and homemade soap.

The September 10th Second Saturday will be the sixth event held this year. It also marks the start of the Fall season which leads into the Christmas shopping season.

Orient Street will be blocked off for the October event to make room for more vendors. October’s event will also coincide with the San Angelo Eco Fair.

Vending space is limited, as more and more vendors line up to participate, Season is always seeking folks selling innovative items, though. Vendors pay a nominal $25 registration fee to participate for all Second Saturdays throughout the rest of the year. Non-profit groups are also invited to join in on the fun There is no fee for non-profit organizations.

For more information, please contact Season Neucere at seasonschangedesigns@gmail.com, at Old Town Second Saturdays San Angelo on Facebook, and coming soon, their Web site Old Town Second Saturdays in San Angelo Web site .

Season says she hopes you’ll come out and enjoy the show this Saturday, September 10, 2011, starting at 10 a.m.
