His Words:
“I was singing at my ex-girlfriend’s, best-friend’s wedding and there was still a little spark… you know, it reminded me of some movie. Anyway, I’m headed her way to say hi and some guy jumps in and gives her a big kiss and I just melted away into the background. And that’s when I came up with the idea for the song, “I Can’t Lie to Myself”.
Oh I’m trying to keep on lying to myself. Don’t think about how good it was and keep my feelings on the shelf. But last Friday, when I saw her out with him, my heart skipped a beat, nearly knocked me off my feet. Oh I could lie to you, but I can’t lie to myself.
“Still got that Spark,” asked LIVE!?
“Nope. I found my real partner in life about six years ago. We’ve been married for three and have a son, Scott Lee. She’s real supportive of me and what I do. Life really worked out well on that particular deal.”

The 411:
Scott Hall has some great attributes that work well for him as a singer/songwriter: He has a strong, but polished full voice, almost like Kenny Loggins but with a twang and he’s a songwriter with that special talent of orchestrating the listener’s emotions through music and words. The band played at the Scrub Pub (2408 Vanderventer St, San Angelo, Texas) this past weekend.
Scott Hall music sits well with Texas. His first CD, Matter of Time is filled with eleven great sounding, highly original tunes and is almost an autobiography of his life-experiences, which reach down to the foundation of this great state.
Hall was born in Fort Worth, Texas, not the base. His family is as Texas as it gets: His maternal grandmother was born in the back of a covered mule freight wagon in 1904 and his Uncle was a rodeo performer turned horse trainer and the subject of the song “High Ridin’ Heros,” recorded by David Lynn Jones and Waylon Jennings.
Growing up, Hall developed an early love of country music. Since then he has pushed and shoved and at times, stumbled his way through life, giving his music a REAL flavor, something listeners can, and are identifying with.
Scott’s first band was called Panther City , which is the nickname for Fort Worth. They put out one self-titled CD, with some cuts off that album that were re-recorded for A Matter of Time.
Hall’s big break came when the new Gilley’s Dallas Public Entertainment Facility opened in 2003, and he was chosen after a state-wide talent search for a lead vocalist for the house band. Hall led the band for a little over a year until making the decision to get out and stretch his wings.
In January of this year, Scott Hall was named “Myspace Artist of the Week,” for among other things, his smash cover rendition of “Ain’t No Sunshine,” which spent a month on KFWR “The Ranch’s” top 25 playlist.
