"The Gospel According to Scrooge" is a musical, a Christian adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The principal characters in "Scrooge" and the Dickens' classic remain the same.

Ebenezer Scrooge is tight fisted, money loving, joy hating old man who has let life pass him by. Bob Cratchit, Scrooge's nephew, not only works for the hard hearted old miser but does his best to change his uncle's perspective on Christmas and life. But to no avail.

Changing the heart of Ebenezer Scrooge looks impossible without Divine help and that's what he gets. Instead of being visited by three ghosts, Scrooge is visited by three angels, and each has a distinctive personality. The angels are Peace, Joy, and Hope.

Scrooge is on a journey from being a pull myself up by my own bootstraps" kind of man to one who is broken and contrite before the Lord Almighty, totally dependent upon the mercy of Jesus.
