After Steve Hudgeons, assistant state director for the Mutual UFO Network of Texas, visited Stephenville, Texas, Saturday, he was only sure of one thing he hadn't known before then: The people in that small town outside Fort Worth are very friendly. Hudgeons described a youth who had taken advantage of the media presence (Hudgeons counted about 500 people and a line of cameras from national media outlets) with an aluminum foil helmet. When Hudgeons asked the boy to take it off (he thought it exploitive), the boy later apologized sheepishly.
Hudgeons gathered plenty of data during his visit Saturday. “We had 50 reports sheets, and ran out of those and had to start writing on other things,” he says. “I would say 60 percent of the data and reports that came in were sightings from 20 years ago. Sounds like an ongoing thing to me.”
Conclusions will not come for some weeks, perhaps even months, as Hudgeons gathers more data. In the meantime, local radio station Mandatory FM has deemed itself the “Texas UFO information station.” Today they had James Fox, independent filmmaker of “Out of the Blue: The Definitive Investigation of the UFO Phenomenon,” on their morning show. Fox has recently been on Larry King for his film work.
Hudgeons maintains the Stephenville UFO sighting has received national media attention because of the credibility of witnesses to the event. “Especially with [Constable Lee Roy Gaitan],” Hudgeons says. “His credibility goes a long way, and I believe that’s the key to the whole thing.”

"UFO's, like other paranormal creatures or events, are a ploy of the devil, an attempt to deceive you and take your focus away from Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible is the only absolute truth..read ALL of it and place your faith in Jesus. God loves you and is quick to forgive- He will rescue you and help you obey Him..." Posted by Anomynous
Did you ever give any thought that this book called the bible is in fact written and altered by people with alterior motives of control? The Holy Bible is not absolute truth at all. I recommend "Telos" By Aurelia Louise Jones and "The Mahatma I and II" By Brian Grattan. It's my fresh new "bible".
Chill out "Formally." Believe and let believe, and stop being so preachy. There's nothing wrong with someone being a fundamentalist, and you come across as more obnoxious and arrogant.

Breifly: Check out book by Alfred Iannarelli...Code Name-Operation Bright Angel for the real story.
Hello,
I have interviewed many witnesses and several are losing sleep over what they saw. They didn't make it up. They saw what they saw -- that much I am sure of.

In reference to UFO sightings, anyone interested in the real facts must read "Code Name: Operation Bright Angel" published approximately one year ago. ISBN 141201212-0. The cold war may be over, but the nuclear threat by hostile attack is still a possibility/ The security of this free and great nation shall not be compromised, at any cost/ Any cover-up regarding this top secret and highly classified project has now been totally justified. An of course, we must not forget and give thanks and praise to all the dedicated personnel assigned to Project Blue Book and for their many years of untiring and candid investigations or reported UFO's
Is Iannarelli's story believable.....it's your call.
That book is a novel. That means it isn't true. It was published in 2003, 4 or maybe 5 years ago. You can read some of it here .
I have been reading the comments and find them interesting. The one that says "I have proof"..........PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!!! lol I would loveeeeeeeeee to see that for sure.
I think it is amazing the information that is not really getting much press. There is all this general media information repeated over and over on the internet and the major news channels. UFOs does not mean "from another planet" but yet the ignorance persists and the ignorant poke fun at this and don't read past the first 2 or 3 lines of a news blurb. There was a Larry King show, a second, follow up one the other night about Stephensville. James Fox was a guest and he got in a quick comment towards the end of the show directed at the show's debunker, that there is an eye witness (that he interviewed) who saw it in the day time, up close, not at night, that is being seriously harassed by the Air Force and they are telling him that they will stop harassing him when he shuts up about what he saw. I noticed Larry King cut James Fox off a few times and he really just blurted this out so quickly, most people probably missed it. I think Fox just lost it.
Most of you know who this witness is. He saw it as early as Jan 1. Also, probably no one has seen the transcript of an interview he did with Linda Moulton Howe that includes great detail and sketches about what he saw. I found it on the internet after considerable surfing (only on one obscure website)over a week ago and it was quite detailed. It may be one of the most solid "UFO" sighting reports ever made by a civilian. I have no doubt the air force is very irritated about that and they didn't admit that they had F16s out there, after 2 weeks of denying it, because they wanted to come clean. It is called damage control. It has been going on for at least 60 years.
The witnesses at night were very correct and I am sure they saw F16s either following "it" or escorting "it" and you can be absolutely sure, the air force knows all about it, no question.
I live in a small town in oklahoma where military planes fly all day for training and none of their planes don't make sounds they are loud and people are not dumb it might be a u.f.o or something the military don't want people to find out. It's like Jesus never seen him but people still believes so i am open minded about u.f.os. I will look up to the sky still maybe i'll see a u.f.o or maybe Jesus who knows? Keep the faith don't let anyone tell you that you didn't see what you saw.
I HAVE SEEN AND HAVE DEFINITE PROOF OF THE EXISTENCE OF U.F.O.s.
More UFO witnesses are coming out all the time; read the freedom of information act released ufo report made by U S Naval Reserve pilot graham bethune made in year 1951 and see if its all a joke you non believing skeptics
If only Ricky Sorrels would taken the shot when he had the chance. While observing the UFO through his rifle sights.
We would all know what the UFO was.
Either the UFO would have vaporized the Earth, or Ricky would have secretly vanished at the hands of some dastardly government X-files secret organization.
p.s.
Stephenville is my hometown.
If Ricky Sorrels would have just taken a shot at the UFO when he had the chance, we would probably know what it was by now.
Either the UFO would vaporize the Earth, or Ricky would have secretly vanished at the hands of some governmet X-files group.
Either way, It's bad news for all
Imagine an enormous blimp made of space age materials to give it a very large & highly aerodynamic shape. Imagine dozens of computer controlled, vectored thrust engines all over this craft to make it move with extreme precision and at great speed. What you would have is an anti-gravity craft (within our atmospheric envelope anyway) of a very simple nature. The appearance and behaviors of the craft described by the Stephenville locals indicates the government is building a heavy lift, lighter than air craft which would be extremely useful in disasters rescues & cleanups that you would find in a Katrina-like event.
You are very nearly correct, in my opinion.
UFO's are not real!!
There is nothing at all strange or wrong about reporting something unexplained in the sky. What is strange and wrong is to laugh at or attempt to quiet a witness by using ridicule. It is time to take UFO eye witnesses serious and at least check out the stories. There are many thousands of sightings each year. They can't all be "swamp gas". The UFOs could be alien crafts or simply secret goverment ships. Both cases should be investigated and made public. Why would goverment ships be spying on us???
Them there UFOs be everywhere at this juncture. Them dern things all over Texas here. Have mercy!
Hopefully, from now on, people who see a UFO will not have to be afraid to report what they saw, and the public will stop ridiculing anyone who says they saw a UFO.
This is a chance to gather good data about these astonishing sightings, before it gets contaminated with hoaxers, pranksters, and crazies.
We really need to demand that our United States government tell the truth about this subject. The Air Force claims it no longer studies the subject. Who are they kidding? If they were not studying Unidentified Objects that are flying around at will in our airspace, they wouldn't be doing their jobs. They simply go to extreme measures to keep their knowledge secret.
Amen to that Carl,
One of the greatest tragedies in our society is that when approaching a subject that we don't much know about, we tend to limit our mind to our previous experiences and therefore narrowing our window of exploration and all this does is delay the facts. Hey it was only a four hundred years ago that humans believed earth was flat and any other thought was ridiculed until Ferdinand Magellan circumnavigated the globe. The day will come when science proves the facts, whether or not UFO's are Identified Flying Objects (IFO)
