The Business Men’s Bible Class in cooperation with the Salvation Army

Annual traditional Easter Sunrise Service conducted every year at this location since 1959. This is the 49th Year. Special music will be provided by Austin singer-songwriter K.R. Wood, creator of the “Fathers of Texas” historical album, and his band. Local favorite, Terry Mills will also be performing as well as Bobby Miranda. Members of the Old Hat Band will be performing under their gospel name, “Proof of Grace”. Master of Ceremonies is Mr. Tom Thornton, Congregational singing will be led by Joan Wenetschlaeger accompanied by Joan Kennermer on piano.

SPEAKERS: Reverend Darrell T. Smith – class teacher of the Business Men’s Bible Class and missionary for the Gospel Vision Foundation. Also, Captain Kevin Taylor of the Salvation Army

MEDIA COVERAGE: Broadcast live on KIDY channel 6, cable channel 10 and KKSA 1260 AM Radio.

OTHER: Mr. Tom Thornton is chairman of the event and Mr. Thomas Brian is Co-Chair. The Salvation Army Canteen will provide free coffee, hot chocolate and donuts for all.

RECOGNITION: Special thanks to Matt Hudson and the Willeke - Hudson family for allowing the public to celebrate Easter on their ranch these many years and for the memory of Matt’s late grandfather and grandmother, “Doc” and Emma Willeke.
