SAN ANGELO, Texas – Mississippi. Minnesota. Idaho. Florida. California. Ohio. Wisconsin. These are just a few of the states that some of the 2008 Colts call home in the off-season. But when they travel to San Angelo to play for the Colts for four months, they need new homes, and that’s where our fans come in. The Colts are looking for host families in the San Angelo community to house players for the upcoming season, which starts on May 13. Players will be reporting to San Angelo on May 4 to begin Training Camp. Host families should be able to supply a room and a bed for one player (or more if they’d like!) from early May through the end of August.
In addition to enriching their baseball experience by sheltering one or more of our players for the summer, host families receive another substantial perk. For each player hosted, the family will receive one pair of Colts season tickets! That will also gain them entry into the Colts season-ticket holders’ party before the season. If anyone is interested in becoming a host family, please contact the Colts’ front office at (325) 94-COLTS for more information. The Colts begin the 2008 season with six games on the road before returning to San Angelo for their home opener at Foster Field on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m., and following the game fans will be treated to a Fireworks Show sponsored by Adobe Signs & T-shirts and KLST. Advertising, ticket, and group information are available by calling the box office at (325) 942-6587. All Colts games are broadcast live on “Cool 100” – KCLL 100.1 FM and online at the Colts’ official website, www.sanangelocolts.com, which is updated daily with the latest team news.
