- Brandon Bush on Texas Music

Brandon Bush
Brandon Bush knew he had to get into the Texas music scene as soon as he heard Pat Green from a pickup’s radio speakers at a pasture party when growing up in Ector, Texas, a small town near Sherman.
He finished his degree in English at North Texas State University and threw everything he had into getting famous on the circuit. His band’s first record, Grabaholt, had the single “Wild Child,” a song he says is only quasi-autobiographical, in high rotation.
Now, the Dallas/Fort Worth-based band is touring wider, and Blaine’s in San Angelo is among his signature stops.
In this podcast, Brandon reveals the meaning behind “Rock and Roll Jezebel” and “Wild Child.”
The band is recording its next record now. Below you will find a free download of a preview song from it, tentatively to be titled, Southern Venacular.
