Downfall 2012

Downfall 2012
Downfall 2012 is a rock band out of Houston that is embarking upon a nationwide tour July 1st. “We’re still not signed. Still not rockstars. We’re just independent musicians,” head man Danny Gil says.
They’re headed for Los Angeles, then Portland, and probably Seattle. But on their way out West, they’re stopping by San Angelo, Texas, to perform at The Deadhorse July 6th.
Downfall 2012 sounds a lot like Nickelback with Sex Pistol-esque interruptions. Their sound is driven by a driving bass with drum backdrop. Unique to this band are two things. First, they have a drum performance they call “buckets of fun.” All three in the band participate. It’s unique, original, and sounds and looks very cool. The second is that even though this is only a three-piece band, they have a wall of sound. Danny attributes this to the fact that all three members sing their hearts out.
In this podcast, meet Downfall 2012, find out the secrets of the rock-and-roll genre, and we discuss the end of the world, too.
