San Angelo-based benchmark competition will bring far-flung ceramics luminaries and lots of fun and culture for locals.

Well, results are in, and Texas is the 12th unhealthiest state, according to a recent publication by CQ Press, a division of Congressional Quarterly, Inc. More specifically, CQ’s “16th Annual Healthiest State Award” released at the end of March put Texas as the 39th Healthiest State out of, of course, 50.

He’s had a taste of both independent and affiliated ball, and now, after a short stint with the Kannapolis Intimidators of the White Sox organization, John Anderson is back in San Angelo with a Colts Jersey on, this time as a player-coach.

The head of the Tom Green County Library had always wanted to host a book festival, and the idea coincided perfectly with the “authors” theme the Schools Foundation was featuring this year, Mead says. From there, the two organizations contacted the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts and planned to host their combined event on the same day as the fifth annual Sidewalk Chalk Festival.
