AUSTIN, TX – Gov. Greg Abbott told Beto to "Bring It" following his announcement to challenge Abbott for Texas Governor.
Shortly after Gov. Abbott responded with a reminder of what the Democrat party stands for.
He then made an eerie comparison to the current President of the United States, Joe Biden. In the tweet Abbott states that Biden is wrong for America and Beto was wrong for Texas.
In the midst of all the back and forth, Gov. Greg Abbott also congratulated Rep. Ryan Guillen, from HD-31, for leaving the Democrat party of Texas and joining the Republicans.
The primary election for the Texas Governor seat is set for Mar. 1 and the general election is Nov. 1.

- kill good paying oil & gas jobs
Oil and gas is a (slowly) dying industry. We need to move to clean energy as quick as possible, the corporations who's profits come from oil and gas will tell you otherwise, but no intelligent person would listen to a corporation.
- allow chaotic open border policies
Nobody has "open border" policies. The current administration is still using trumps policies of deporting people. The only policies Biden stopped that were trumps were the wall (proved useless anyway) and the remain in mexico policy. All of the other executive orders were to reimplement policies that trump ended.
- support the failing Biden agenda
Failing? Biden ended the war in afghanistan that republicans started and he just past his infrastructure bill, all in less than a year, and those are just the major items, he has certainly done more for this country in his less-than-a-year as president than the last one term twice impeached president. His "agenda" is moving right along.
- impose socialism
What policies are socialism? Republicans call Democrats "sOciAlisTs" without ever explaining which policies they have implemented are actually socialist? It's a big bad boogyman word to get their base riled up.

PermalinkYes failing. But please do keep making ridiculous excuses, as evidenced by Republican wins in Georgia, the American people know full well who is to blame ;)

Permalink“Republicans voted to defund the police”
That’s a lie. The problem republicans had with the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan was the fact that only a small percentage of it was specifically earmarked for health spending related to covid.
Besides, the bill never stipulated that relief funding had to be used for police officers or for other law enforcement initiatives, but gave recipients “broad flexibility to decide how best to use the funding to meet the needs of their communities” ;)

PermalinkJust more demagoguery. How can anyone vote “for” or “against” something when it wasn’t specifically outlined in the bill that doesn’t make any sense ;)

PermalinkTypical demo lib just double down on the lies ;)

PermalinkIf you have any links or evidence/proof of your own THEN POST IT.
But you don't/won't because you can never prove your own position, you are all talk.
Also, I didn't "double down", it is the same link I used before, which you didn't read, because it actually proves me correct and you wrong, by your own right wing fox news host no less.

PermalinkAnd none of you republicans can ever provide proof of your own. Go figure. All talk with nothing to back it up.
Also, your boy crush just LOST (common theme amongst republicans) all of his defamation suits, and in a way that filing bankruptcy won't even get him in the clear;

PermalinkDo I have to explain everything to you you’re like a child. The portion of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that had to do with “funding the police”, which like I explained it wasn’t even stipulated within the bill that the money had to be used for that purpose, was just a small percentage of the total cost of the bill.
So for you America hating demo libs, and that includes little Chrissy Wallace, to claim “republicans voted against funding the police” is simply bullshit ;)

PermalinkI wasn't talking to you with this particular response.
Do you often repeat yourself several times?
But since you mention it, every single democrat in the senate voted AGAINST defunding the police when a republican proposed it,
"Tuberville, R-Ala., authored an amendment to Democrats' $3.5 trillion budget resolution that would decrease federal funds to localities that defund the police."
"In the end, all Democrats voted in favor of Tuberville's effort, which passed unanimously Tuesday night in a 99-0 vote."
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cory-booker-giddy-democrats-vote-against-defund-police
"Defund" the police is a misnomer anyway. What we really should be doing is taking some of their inflated budgets (they do not need military equipment) and start separate offices that deal with mental health issues and other non violent calls that have no need for a person with an itchy trigger finger just itching to show up and kill a citizen. Nine times out of ten the police only deal with the aftermath of a crime anyway. Police hardly ever stop crimes that are in progress.

PermalinkNot to mention the fact that “funding the police”, especially when it involves democrat run cities where they’ve actually DEfunded them, is NOT a function of the federal government that’s a state/local issue ;)
