Bobcats' Basketball Posted a 1-1 Record on Day 2 of the Doug McCutchen Memorial Tournament

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Central Bobcats played two games in the winner's bracket of the Doug McCutchen Memorial Tournament on Friday, Dec. 2, at Central High School.

The 'Cats dropped their first game of the season to Temple at noon after a tough battle, 68-57. Jaedyn Gipson led the Bobcats in scoring with 20 points. The young talent continues to improve his game as the season progresses.

Because the Bobcats lost to Temple, they are out of the running for the championship game, but they can still win the winner's consolation bracket. They played their second game of the day against the Lubbock Cooper Pirates at 6 p.m. Central fought a close game against the Pirates and prevailed, 43-39. Christian English led the Bobcats with 15 points, followed close behind by Kollin Allbright with 12 points.
