Sally might tell you that her life began when she met Alvin McCaleb in high school, but in reality, Sally came into this world on October 5, 1929. Sally is the youngest of ten children (5 sisters, 4 brothers) born to Pearl Hight and Tony David Hight. Sally’s dad died when she was only 3 months old, but her siblings made sure she was cared for. Sally always said that she never had a day when she didn’t feel loved.

Sally met Alvin McCaleb at Clayton High School where they both graduated and where Sally was the valedictorian of their class. Alvin and Sally married on July 27, 1947, at First Baptist Church in Clayton, but they began married life in Cactus, a small oil field town in the Texas panhandle. They soon joined the Baptist church there and Alvin began to climb the ladder of employment at Phillips Gas Plant. While there, Sally and Alvin started their family: Kathy (1948) and Nathan (1951). After moving to several places in Texas, Sally and Alvin settled in the middle of nowhere – in the middle of the Shamrock Oil and Gas company’s oil field. Their nearest neighbors were two miles away and much of the road was unpaved. Sally became a Brownie Troop leader at the closest elementary school (10 miles away) and served a term as PTA president. It was here that Alvin taught Sally to drive a car and to ride a bicycle. After four years, Sally and Alvin purchased the company house they had lived in and actually had the house moved to Dumas, Texas. Complicating that move, baby Janet joined the family just before the house was literally picked up and moved into town.

Sally’s years in Dumas were full of family, friends, and fun. Sally was a stay-at-home mom until Janet started junior high. During those years she enjoyed times with her Jabberwocky Club of friends, hosting Women’s Missionary Union meetings, and going on bike rides with Alvin. Together they took many Saturday bike rides of 50 or more miles and completed mountain rides plus at least one ride of 100 miles!

As Alvin moved up Shamrock’s corporate ladder, he was promoted to the executive office in Amarillo. Sally decided to take advantage of the junior college there and earned an Associate’s Degree. While in school, she also enjoyed learning photography and played the violin in the orchestra.

Sally and Alvin always enjoyed travel, both domestic and foreign, from camping to elegant hotels. They traveled the U.S. and Sally traveled to every state in the U.S. One of their last trips was to Europe where they saw as many countries as possible in two weeks time.

Alvin died from cancer, just after he and Sally celebrated 49 years of marriage to each other. After several months of living alone, Sally married Jack Parker and they moved to San Angelo. They enjoyed traveling to Alaska, touring the Rocky mountains, and seeing the east coast before Jack died.

During Sally’s last years in San Angelo, she made many wonderful friends and was an involved member of Southland Baptist Church. She enjoyed many hours of playing cards with friends, traveling with Kathy and David to Scotland, Israel, Italy, and more.

Sally and Alvin had three children, seven grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00pm at Llano Cemetery, in Amarillo, TX. 

Albert Fuentes Blanco Sr, age 85, passed away surrounded by his precious family on November 16th, 2025. Albert was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Felix and Juana Blanco. Albert was part of Reece Albert Inc. family for 46 years, acting as the company’s Service Manager oversizing the servicing of its fleet of vehicles & equipment. He retired in 2015, leaving an indelible impression on those men and women who worked with him in the service field or the office staff. 

Albert enjoyed spending time with family & watching his grandkids in sports and the Tex-Anns. He enjoyed traveling & gambling and especially being involved at St. Margaret Catholic Church & Knights of Columbus 17204. 

Albert is proceeded in death by Angelita Blanco the mother of his children, parents Felix & Juana Blanco, sisters Concepcion Castillion, Juana Del Toro, Jesusa Longoria, Brothers, Guadelupe, Felix, and Daniel Blanco and grandson Anacleto Cortez III & stepsons Marcus & Ben. 

He is survived by his wife Sylvia Lugo Blanco and his children, Bertha Garcia, Albert Blanco Jr, Jesse Blanco (Margaret), Belinda Cortez (Victor), Robert Blanco (Maria), Ernest Blanco (Melissa), San Juanita Reyes (Johnny), Paul Blanco (Lisa). 20 grandkids, 30 great grandkids, and 4 great great grandkids. Sisters, Maria Alvarez (Max), Santos Solis (Tony), Josefina Moreno. He will forever love his working sons Lon Ross & Todd Albert. 

Pallbearers will be Ernest, Robert & Paul, Daniel Blanco & Ruben Longoria, Gavino Del Toro, Lon Albert & Philip Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Albert Blanco Jr, Jesse Blanco, Johnny Castillion & Michael Castillo.

Our Welo’s favorite saying as each on of us as we left his home was “Buckle Up” and now we are telling him “Buckle Up” and enjoy your peaceful trip with Jesus. 

A visitation will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home, located at 435 West Beauregard, San Angelo, TX, 76903, on November 20, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. 

Following the visitation, a rosary will take place at the same location from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service is scheduled for November 21, 2025, at St Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 2619 Era St, San Angelo, TX, 76905, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

The committal service will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park, 3504 Arden Rd, San Angelo, TX, 76901, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Mary Anna Pippin Garcia 72, of San Angelo, TX. Passed away on November 15, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Louisville, KY.

Family visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Friday November 21, 2025, at Harper Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11AM Saturday November 22nd, in the Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Worth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in Miles Cemetery.

Anna was born May 23, 1953, in Palo Alto California to Gerald Wallace Pippen Sr. and Mary Martha Smith Pippin. She spent her younger years travelling with her family, but it was their time in Australia that she loved the most. Anna loved being a florist and started at House of Flowers, but it was Shirley Floral where she found her floral family. She married Roberto “Bobby” Garcia Jr. February 22, 1974, in San Angelo, TX where they began their amazing lifelong journey together.

Anna was proceeded in death by her husband Bobby, her mother Mary Martha, her father Gerald, her mother in-law Hilda and father in-law Roberto, her brother William “Billy” Pippin, granddaughter Amber Karr, nephew William Necessary.

Survivors include her daughter Brandy Ford, son in-law James Ford, son Jonathan Garcia; four grandchildren, Samantha Garcia, Robert Ford, Kaitlyn Sherman and Kirsten White; eight great grandchildren, Jonathan Martin, Benjahmin Garcia, Hunter Wilham, Deegan Burris, Amber Ford, Berkley Ford, Emmett Sherman and Ivy Sherman; brother Jerry Pippin, sister in-law Sue Pippn, sister CoraLenna Rogers, brother in-law Darrell Rogers, two sisters in-law Linda Ugalde and Monica Diaz. And many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marcy Raye Partusch, lovingly known as YaYa, of San Angelo, passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on October 25, 1957, in San Angelo, Texas, to T.P. and Vineta Linney.

From a young age, Marcy developed a deep love for horses and barrel racing. Though she was the youngest child, her vibrant personality and natural leadership often placed her at the center of every moment. She graduated from Central High School in 1976 and went on to proudly serve the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce for more than 20 years. Her involvement in the Fiesta Del Concho was a source of great pride, and she cherished the relationships she formed throughout her years of service.

On June 11, 2005, Marcy married the love of her life, Craig Partusch. They were true soulmates—devoted, inseparable, and a constant source of joy in each other’s lives.

Marcy’s love for people was unmatched. She was always ready for an outing, a gathering, or a celebration, and her family and friends could always count on her presence, enthusiasm, and support. Those who knew Marcy also knew the special place her beloved dogs held in her heart: Taffy, Daisy, Lucy, and CoCo.

Marcy is survived by her children: Jared and Amy Drew, Steven and Shayla Bell, and Lauren Partusch; her grandchildren: Clayton, Kinsley, Jaxon, August, Karsyn, Whells, and Theodora; and her siblings: Beverly and Griff Hanks, Darlene and Bob Norwood, and Clay Eaton and Sharon Ransbarger. She is also deeply loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Partusch, June 22, 2015; her parents, T.P. and Veneta Linney; her child, Anjy Elkins; and her brother, Wendell Ransbarger.

Marcy will be remembered for her remarkable spirit, her boundless love for her family, and the joy she brought to every life she touched.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Harper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Paint Creek Cemetery. 

Margaret A. “Margie” Tally left this world to join Jesus and her beloved husband on November 15, 2025, at her home. Margaret was born November 2, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Harry and Helen Bartz. She came to Texas at 15 months of age with her parents and siblings. After graduation from high school, she worked for GTE for several years. She met the love of her life, William M. Tally, Jr. in 1952 and they wed on January 8, 1953. After the birth of their daughter, they travelled the world with the USAF, retiring in 1969 to make their home in San Angelo. They were blessed with two beautiful granddaughters who brought so much joy to their lives.

Margie was a decorating consultant with Home Interiors and Gifts for 30 years. She loved all the friends she made while helping to beautify their homes. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sisters, Katherine, Irene, Linda and Theresa; her brothers, Harry Bartz, Jr. and Albert Bartz.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula O’Neal and husband Michael of Del Rio, Texas; her granddaughters, Erin O’Neal of San Antonio and Kathleen O’Neal of New Zealand; 2 sisters, Mary Jane and Carol, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Cathedral with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM with Monsignor Droll officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery beside her beloved husband. 

Memorials may be made to Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart, Angelo Catholic School, Mount Carmel Hermitage in Christoval, Texas, or Our Lady of Grace Monastery of Christoval.

June Lenore Stewart, 95, of San Angelo, Texas was welcomed into our heavenly Father’s arms November 7, 2025 after a period of declining health. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman who had a passion for life, June has left an imprint on all who knew and loved her. 

A family service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel, immediately followed by burial alongside her soulmate, husband, Gerald Stewart. 

Born on December 30, 1929, in Lohn, Texas, to Bertie Lee Coonrod and Ada Dee Coonrod, June grew up in a loving Christian family, along with her younger sister Gail. After moving to Pecos, June graduated high school. She then attended Abilene Christian University where she earned an Associates Degree in Art and demonstrated a real talent for portrait drawings. It was during that time in 1949, June met and married the love of her life, A & M student, Gerald Stewart. They lived in Van Horn and Miles before settling in San Angelo for over 50 years, raising two girls, Cherie and Niki, where she excelled at being a homemaker. Not only did they share their daughters, but also the excitement of travel and golf. Their travels took them to Australia, Italy, Scotland, Mexico, Thailand … nearly all over the world. Some of their most cherished trips were with family to Mexico. While playing golf with Gerald was fun, June excelled when competing with other women and won the San Angelo Country Club Women’s Championship numerous times. Bridge was also a constant in her life and gave her competitive nature another challenge in which she excelled … many times, stating it was the best game ever. Her carefree side enjoyed dance classes and exercise dance. Her favorite was dancing with Gerald at their many Corrollas dances. June was also an avid reader, enjoying the Bible, self-help books, books about other countries, and mysteries. Church was an absolute must … every Sunday and many Wednesdays, sitting in the same pew, at Johnson’s Street Church of Christ where they were members for years. 

Tender yet spicy – stubborn yet loving, June Stewart embraced all life offered and will forever be remembered as unique and special. 

June was preceded in death by Gerald, her beloved husband of 56 years; parents, Bert and Ada Coonrod; sister, Gail Gartman; and niece, Dana McCurdy. She is survived by daughters, Cherie’ (Walt) Young and Niki Burnett; grandsons, Chris Karnes, Jason (Annette) Burnett, Nick (Candi) Burnett; great-granddaughters, Riley and Zoey Burnett; and cousins, Derek and Mark Gartman.

Yuel Gabor Harris, 66, of San Angelo, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 14, 2025.

Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Friday, Nobember 21, 2025 with the family recieving friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Arrangements and Cremation is under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Yuel was born in Lamesa, TX on April 18, 1959 to Willie Pearl (Jackson) Harris and Bill Roy Harris. Yuel grew up and attended school in San Angelo TX where he graduated from Central High School in 1978. As the middle child of seven children, Yuel was known to be the handyman at a very young age. Upon receiving a ladybug toy as a small child, Yuel quickly took apart the toy and put it back together to see how it worked. This was the beginning of his passion to be able to fix any and everything.

Yuel married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Detra, on February 14, 1981. Together they had three children, LaCresha, Shuntaya & Micheal. Although they divorced, Yuel & Detra remained best friends until the end. Yuel was the type of father that dropped everything to be there for his children, day or night. A father that would give his last of anything to make sure his children had everything. A father that poured his heart into making sure they knew they were always loved and supported. This love for his children overflowed into his love for his grandchildren, who he showed up for every single day.

Yuel worked most of his years as an appliance technician. He spent 20+ years at Sears, followed by 14 years at Commercial Appliance, 4 years at Kuntz Appliance and then returned to Commercial Appliance for the last 7 years. Yuel was everyone's handyman. He could fix anything and he would always show up when you called. He will be greatly missed by his community.

Most of all, Yuel was the smile that lit up every room he entered. He was a stranger to no one and was loved dearly by everyone! He spent his days caring for family and was the greatest example of a loving father, grandfather, son, brother & friend.

Yuel was preceded in death by his father, Bill Roy Harris, his sister, Yulanda McDowell, and his mother & father in laws Samuel Green Jr & Marjorie Green.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Willie Pearl Wesson; his siblings, Sheila Henry, Quinton Harris, Dwight Harris (Janice), Orlando Harris & Phoebe Evans (Richard); his best friend and life partner, Detra Harris; his children, LaCresha Harris, Shuntaya Butler (Stephen), & Micheal Harris (Mayra); grandchildren, Zoriah St Mary, Anthony St Mary, Anyssa St Mary, Darrell Eagle Jr., Kai'Lyrise Eagle, Kylyric Eagle, Jaliyah Butler, Jayven Butler, Mya Pedersen, Yuel Harris and Harlem Harris; along with a host of additional family and friends.

A Life Well Lived

Clarence Ertel Willis was born December 9, 1929, the second child of Charlie and Ruth Willis in Temple, TX. The family relocated to Sonora where his father worked as a farm laborer. Because of the lack of proper schools in Sonora, his mother convinced his dad to move to nearby San Angelo. He attended elementary school and Blackshear High School in San Angelo where he played football and tennis. He graduated from high school in 1947 and was valedictorian of his class. Clarence then attended Texas College in Tyler, TX majoring in biology. He had a deep love for sports and later became a basketball referee for the then Blackshear Junior High.

He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Frances Smith in 1947 and to that union two loving daughters were born: Gwendolyn Elaine and Sandra Kaye.

A Life of Dedicated Service

Throughout his life, Clarence touched countless hearts with his compassion and wisdom. His dedication to community service and commitment to helping others will long be remembered and deeply missed. Early on he was a member of Prince Hall's Masonry Jackson Lodge #15 and was a founding member of the San Angelo Consistory #288, now known as the Lorenzo Enox Consistory and served as its secretary. The organization's focus was getting young men off the streets and mentoring them. In 1990 he became a 33rd Degree Mason.

Clarence was an active member of Habitat for Humanity having served on its Board of Directors and was elected as Site Chairman with the responsibility of selecting sites for home construction.

At the age of 21 he became actively involved in the St. Paul African American Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church as one of the youngest members of its Official Board. He eventually served as Pastor pro temp for every pastor of St. Paul. He was elected as a delegate to the Lay Biennial (A.M.E.) Church meeting. Later he was elected as a delegate to the A.M.E. General Conference's international body which is held every four years. For four consecutive terms (16 years) he served on various committees, most notably the Episcopal Committee, which had the important distinction of qualifying candidates for the bishopric as well receiving 4-year reports of the bishops' activities.

In the 1970's C.W. was instrumental in organizing a Black golfers' club consisting of San Angelo, Big Springs, Midland, Odessa, Abilene and Big Lake which sponsored biannual tournaments with proceeds going to indigent people in their communities.

Those He Remembered

In his lifetime he was privileged to have shared memories with the following: his beloved wife of 75+ years, Mary Frances; his parents, Charlie and Ruth Willis; his siblings, Charlesetta Garret, Robert Charles Willis, Lewis Willis, Horace Willis Sr.

Remembering His Spirit

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we have shared and the values he instilled in those of us around him. We will forever cherish the moments spent together and honor his memory by carrying forward his example of kindness and strength. These are we who cherish his memory: Daughters: Gwendolyn Osborne (Louis) and Sandra Carrier (Rodney) both of Houston, TX; Grandchildren: Yolanda O. Kohn (David), Danny Osborne (Shirley), Joy Osborne, Cecily Carrier, Gentry Carrier, Maurice Fisher (Melinda); 11 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; Brothers: Hubert Willis (Bobbie), John Willis, and Frank Willis; and a host of nieces and nephews, particularly Horace (Boo) Willis Jr (Keisha), and Tiffany Wheeler-Davis (William); as well as a regiment of relatives and a cadre of close friends.

We have gathered here today to remember and celebrate the life of our beloved Clarence Ertel Willis. A cherished family member, who brought warmth and kindness to everyone he met. His legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering support for friends and family alike. Let us leave here and try to emulate his life well-lived.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
