POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Community Service Restitution Coordinator works under the general supervision of the AIC Supervisor. This position is responsible for coordinating CVCSCD Community Service Restitution.
THE CONCHO VALLEY CSCD IS A DRUG FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT. ALL PERSONS SELECTED FOR POSSIBLE EMPLOYMENT SHALL SUBMIT TO A DRUG SCREEN FOR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, FAILURE OF THE DRUG SCREENING WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF ANY AND ALL OFFERS OF EMPLOYMENT.

COMMUNITY SERVICE RESTITUTION COORDINATOR
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION/JOB SCOPE:
Community Service Restitution is condition of supervision ordered by the Courts. The
Community Service Restitution Coordinator is responsible for assigning defendants to
department CSR Work Crew or other agencies to perform hours in accordance with their court
order. Also, CSR Coordinator assists and maintains department vehicle maintenance and
coordinates service for vehicles.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for planning and coordinating of Community Service Restitution under
the guidance of the AIC Supervisor.
2. Communicates with other governmental agencies or public organizations to promote
a positive image of the department and provides information regarding the services
offered.
3. Screens defendants for CSR placement for non-profit organization agencies.
4. Calls agencies to check on defendants CSR hours as requested by Officers.
5. Assigns defendants to complete CSR for special events as approved by department
administration.
6. Enters performed CSR hours for local and indirect cases in computer system and
scans documents into CSS.
7. Maintain a record of CSR hours completed by offenders.
8. Communicates with defendants (texts,e-mails, phone calls) required to perform CSR
hrs.
9. Recruits non-profit agencies for Community Service.
10. Daily contact with Community Supervision Officers and the general public.
11. Maintains vehicle maintenance service logs for department vehicles to include
County shop transport and tracking vehicle work orders.
12. Maintains vehicle fleet to include registration and routine maintenance.
13. Communicates with County shop to coordinate for routine maintenance.
14. Balance Wex gas statement with gas receipts.
15. Coordinates services with local businesses.
16. Complies with departmental policies and TDCJ-CJAD Code of Ethics.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and provide proof of liability insurance.
Must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalency.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of skills employed in supervising techniques for organizing and coordinating work duties and responsibilities
Have the ability to utilize a personal computer, general office equipment.
Be able to work independently and efficiently
Competent in interpersonal skills. Able to effectively communicate in writing and orally.
Must have the ability to physically be present at work on a regular basis during assigned work hours. Strong attendance is required.
Must have the ability to deal with high stress situations and the physical ability to conduct all phases of the responsibilities and tasks.
Must have demonstrated attitude of being a team player, and a desire to perform job standards including spontaneous assignments are to be maintained.
