Spend the Day with The Lady In Blue Sor Maria de Jesus de Agreda
Join us for a day of fun, blessings, and an opportunity to learn about the Historic Beginnings of San Angelo. A time in our history where faith came before the soldiers, a peaceful time when buffalo roamed, and the Jumano Indians traveled along the Concho River. Start with the Rodeo Parade and watch our float bring a piece of our history alive. At 1:00 pm come to Sacred Heart Cathedral and meet the Jumano Indians and hear their story. Then Mass at 4:00 pm at the Cathedral and a procession will follow down to the river for a smudging ceremony and the rosary.
The celebration will be held throughout the day on Saturday, April 6th, 2024. A list of activities is listed below:
10AM: Cheer on The Lady In Blue float in the Rodeo Parade downtown with Sor Maria, Bishop Sis & the Jumano Indians
1PM: Talks and fellowship at Sacred Heart Cathedral
4PM: Mass with Bishop Sis at Sacred Heart Cathedral
