Donald Neil McLaughlin, age 89, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
He was born April 10, 1934, in San Angelo, Texas, and passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of William Ray McLaughlin and Velma Garner McLaughlin. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Nora R. Boswell and Ann Billings.
Don is survived by his sister Phyllis Gay Grauke and husband Clyde; nephews Travis Billings, Steve Boswell, David Boswell, and Kevin Grauke; nieces Lezlie Bargsley and Heather Grauke; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Upon graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Don moved to Dallas, Texas, where he lived for the rest of his life. During his working career he worked for the accounting firm of Arthur Anderson, Teledyne Merla, and Haliburton.
Don’s greatest ambition was to travel the world, and he accomplished this by visiting over 50 countries during his lifetime. He was a lifelong patron of the Dallas Symphony, as well as other Dallas arts.
A Graveside service for Donald will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 West Avenue N, San Angelo, Texas.
