Ikey Tom Ault, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away January 6, 2025 at the age 83. He was born in Hollywood, California on March 13, 1941. He was the son of Sam and Marie Ault.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maggie Ault. They enjoyed a loving marriage of 36 years. He was also preceded in death by his grandson Michael Brown.
Ikey and Maggie enjoyed beautiful sunsets and grandchildren at the Ault Ranch in Arden before relocating to San Angelo. Grandchildren have fond memories of hanging at the ranch with “Mimi” and “Pawpaw”. In his early years, he assisted his father with ranching and real estate. He loved golfing and played most days forging many life-long relationships on the course. One of his great pleasures was entertaining friends and family at the ranch. He grilled a tasty rack of ribs and often took to his guitar leading sing-a-longs in the living room or on the front porch. Ikey was known for his affable disposition and kind-hearted nature.
He is survived by his three children, step-daughter, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren: Son Brent Ault and his partner Tom Boswell of Santa Fe, NM
Daughter Sabrina Webster and her husband Lon Webster, grand children Charlie and Marie Webster and great grand daughter Siya Webster from Red River, NM
Daughter Amber Jens and her husband Andrew Jens, grandchildren Sam and Evelyn Jens from Herndon, Virginia Step-daughter Tonya Williams and her husband Russell Williams grand children Connor Harlow, Shaun Harlow, Aaron Harlow, Meagan Eddleman and her husband Jonah, and great grandchildren Elijah and Lillianna from New Braunfels, Texas
Ikey spent his final months at Sagecrest Nursing Facility in San Angelo. The family is grateful to Hospice of San Angelo and the wonderful staff of Sagecrest for their loving and compassionate care. Rosa Ibarra and family are also remembered for their kindness and attention to Ikey during his final years.
A memorial service will be held in late April at Sherwood Cemetery.
