Diann L Wolfe Wilson, 82, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in San Angelo.
Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Russ Frazier, officiating. A reception will follow at 12:30 PM, at the VFW Hall, 125 S Browning St., San Angelo. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie funeral Home.
Diann was born November 22, 1943, in Mineral Wells. She grew up in Snyder, active in school and one of the founding members of the town's Elvis Presley fan club.
Diann married Charles E. Wilson in 1971. The two piled their newly blended family into a Chevy Suburban and drove to Fairbanks, Alaska, to start a new life. A family move to Okinawa, Japan, followed later. Each time they returned home to San Angelo.
On Okinawa and in San Angelo, Diann worked as a Veterinary Assistant for the base clinics. It was a natural next step given her lifelong love of animals of most every kind.
Every four-legged or feathered animal in the neighborhood must have spread the word. Her yard was safe. There would be shelter and food. She loved the time spent tending to their plants and trees. She loved square dancing, fishing, gun club and the hours spent around the dining room table playing cards with friends and family. She also had a deft hand and a sharp eye for home decor and restoring and refinishing old furniture.
Diann is survived by her children, Tony Wilson and his wife, Robbie; Tena Wilson; her stepchildren, Rae Denton, Gaie Palmer and Butch Wilson and his wife, Deborah; as well as 11 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren. Diann was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles E. Wilson, and her parents, Norman and Edna Wolfe, and a great grandchild, Cooper Farmer.
