Guadalupe Rodriguez Ramirez, 90, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Public Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church in Big Lake, Texas with Father Balachandra Nagipogu , officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Guadalupe was born on December 11, 1935 in Laureles, Coahuila, Mexico. At a young age, she moved to San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico and only attended grade school. Later, she met the love of her life, Martin Ramirez. They were married on December 25, 1954. They were soon blessed with 2 sons Martin Jr. and Tudy. In 1962, they came to the United States arriving in Rocksprings, Texas where they were blessed with 1 daughter, Leticia. Later, in 1968, they moved to Big Lake and were blessed with 3 more children, Gilbert, Irma, and Lisa.
Guadalupe loved to cook and always made sure everyone ate well. During Christmas, she would always make tamales and everybody was welcomed to help. Even if you had no clue of what to do, she would patiently show you. She loved having a full house with all her family.
The family would like to thank the Reagan County Care Center and San Angelo Hospice for their love, care, and comfort for our precious mother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Ramirez, Sr.; five brothers, Andres, Martin, Julio, Antonio, Jose; three sisters, Catalina, Lita, Lola; and two great-grandchildren.
Guadalupe is survived by three sons, Martin Ramirez and wife Vange, Tudy Ramirez and wife Rosalinda, Gilbert Ramirez and wife Juanita; three daughters, Leticia Factor and husband Chris, Irma Rivera and husband Miguel, Lisa Villalpando and husband Rey; one sister, Consuelo Rincon; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
