John “Jack” Adams Myers, 79, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2026.
Born on February 2, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, Jack was the son of John and Virginia Myers. From an early age, he displayed a remarkable passion for aviation, earning his pilot’s license at just 16 years old under the instruction of Ernie Hall in Northeast Ohio—becoming the youngest student to do so at the time. Jack loved traveling to Montana, golf, fly fishing and cars.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he built a dedicated career with GTE and later with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Mr. Myers is survived by his daughter, Alissa Myers; his beloved grandchildren, Ashley Smith and Cody Smith; his sister, Sue Blosser and husband Jim; and his longtime companion, Mary Anne Boyd.
Jack will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his nation, and his enduring passion for flight. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
