William Marshall Tucker, LCSW, passed away on May 13, 2026, at his home in San Angelo, Texas. William was born on June 15, 1979, in Big Spring, Texas, to Danny and Elfi Tucker. He was the oldest of three children and attended Coahoma ISD from kindergarten through high school graduation.
In 2000, he moved to San Angelo to attend Angelo State University, and San Angelo soon became his home. While at ASU, William earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Language Arts and, more recently, his Master’s degree in Social Work.
Known to some as “Tucker” and to others as “Willy” or “Will,” William spent his entire adult life in social work, dedicating himself to helping others. He had a special gift for serving the underserved and marginalized, especially youth. He served on countless boards and volunteered with numerous organizations throughout his life.
William enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and loved sharing a new find with anyone who’d listen. He liked to travel and explore new places, loved scary movies, and had a special place in his heart for all things ’90s. He also took Rex Manning Day very seriously. He loved sweets (especially ice cream) and was an incredible baker and cook.
William was preceded in death by his father, Danny Tucker, and his nephew, Holden Marshall. He is survived by his mother, Elfi; his brother, Tony, wife Katie, and children Hudsynn and Marshall; his
sister, Natalia, husband Ben, and daughter Shelbie; grandson Silas; as well as several godchildren and many friends who became family - including Jake who he treated like a son.
The family will receive visitors following a Rosary at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will also be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Friday, May 22, at 10:00 AM.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the LIFE Program at High Sky Children’s Ranch.
