Naomi Rae Martin, 66, of San Angelo passed away on May 30, 2026.

Naomi was born on November 25, 1959 in El Paso, Texas to Winfield and Marilyn Spear. Due to Winfield's military service they moved frequently. Most of her childhood was spent in the Los Lunas, New Mexico area. Eventually, Naomi made her way to San Angelo where she worked at the ASU snack bar, and the Concho Pearl Restaurant. After her son, Ross, was born she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was forced to stop working.
She enjoyed crocheting and loved watching her Dallas Cowboys; her sister Paula was a Redskins fan and they had a standard $1.00 bet each time they played. Even though her illness kept her bedridden most of her adult life she was caring and enjoyed laughing.
Naomi is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Cannon and her brother, William Spear.
She is survived by her son, Ross Spear-Martin, her father, Winfield A. Spear; a sister, Paula Spear; and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Hightower-Martin.
The family wishes to thank her in-home caregivers, especially Sue Harding and Robin Young; Cedar Manor Nursing and Rehab; and St. Gabriel's Hospice.
