Angeleene (Angie) Jennings passed away peacefully in San Angelo, Texas on July 6, 2026 at the age of 95. She was born on February 4, 1931 near Cisco, Texas to Charles George Pence and Pearl Mae Warner.
Angie graduated from Cisco High School, and after graduation, she moved with her family to Childress, Texas. There she met and married the love of her life, Melvin Jennings, on August 5, 1949, and their marriage lasted 73 years until Melvin's death in 2022.
Melvin's work took them to many places in Texas as he advanced in his career with several telecommunications companies, including General Telephone & Electronics. While Melvin was employed by GTE, he and Angie accepted a foreign assignment in Brazil from 1977 to 1979. After returning from Brazil, they were located in San Angelo where Melvin served as Vice President of Operations for GTE until his retirement in 1984. Melvin then became involved in real estate investments in San Angelo, and he and Angie settled there for the remainder of their lives.
Angie was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. She was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and she lived her entire life for her wonderful family. Her survivors include son Chuck and wife Lometa of McKinney, Texas; son Randy (wife Tori deceased) of Austin; son Clay and wife Lynn (wife Liz deceased) of Rosharon, Texas; grandchildren Nathan Jennings (wife Megan) of Crested Butte, Colorado; Hayley Eoff (husband Casey) of Allen, Texas; Collin Jennings (wife Marianne DiNapoli) of South Orange, New Jersey; Drew Jennings of Round Rock, Texas; Emily Jennings of Houston; Sarah Jennings of Houston; great grandchildren Clare, Jane, Sydney and Graham Eoff of Allen, Texas; Brody Jennings of Crested Butte, Colorado; and Graydon and Colson Jennings of South Orange, New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service for Angie at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals for the Elderly, 310 E. Houston Harte, San Angelo, Texas 76903.
