Francisca Diaz, 72, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Christoval Rd. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Francisca was born on January 15, 1954, in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, to Jesus and Maria de los Angeles Saldivar. She married Jesus Diaz on January 3, 1976. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Houston before making San Angelo their home in 1982.
Francisca lived life on her own terms. She was a true free spirit with a vibrant personality that would dance to the beat of her own drum. She never missed an opportunity to joke, laugh, sing, or celebrate with those she loved. Whether there was music playing or simply a reason to smile, Francisca was often the first to get everyone on their feet. She was bold, joyful, and unapologetically herself.
She is survived by her three children, Edna Yvonne Diaz, Jesus Enrique Diaz, Jr., and Dillan Ryan Diaz; and by her eight beloved grandchildren: Angela Maria Diaz, Hayden Wray Hess, Landon Marshall Hess, Luis Enrique Diaz, Kendra Ava Hess, Cevannah Jay Hess, Natalie Sofia Diaz, and Elvin Riggs Hess.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Celeste Stephanie Diaz, and her husband, Jesus Enrique Diaz.
Francisca's laughter, strength, and love for life will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on every time music plays, laughter fills a room, and family gathers together.
