The San Angelo State Park has been in existence for 27 years and is helping the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department celebrate the milestone with a full calendar of events including everything from hiking to fishing to horseback riding, trail riding and so much more for free.

A 26-year-old man was killed when the twin engine airplane he was piloting crashed shortly after takeoff from the Lubbock Executive Airpark just before noon Friday.
"...This time I had a weedless swimbait lure tied on, so I flipped back out there. I reeled a couple of times and felt the tiniest little tap. It opened its mouth and danced almost all the way into the net from 20 feet out. It was pretty spectacular after that.”
The additional 35 individuals taken into custody were being sought on a variety of charges to include assault, sexual assault, cruelty towards a child, larceny, and dangerous drugs.
