The man reached the top of the barrier and then proceeded to climb down the south side of the barrier. The agents subsequently observed the man fall onto the concrete trench.

Reporters on the scene say black smoke could be seen from Loop 306 and witnesses say flames could be seen coming out of the roof of the structure.  

High, gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.  Tree limbs could be blown down and cause isolated power outages as well.

According to the Sonora VFD, one person in the motel was injured in the crash.

Authorities arrested and booked 13 individuals into the Tom Green County Detention Center over the last 24 hours on charges including Driving While Intoxicated and Drug Possession.  Six of the 13 were arrested for DWI.
