Retirement Celebration for Angelo West Branch Library Manager

SAN ANGELO, TX — Longtime Manager of the Angelo West Branch Library, Evelyn Coley, is retiring on July 31.  She has been the branch manger since April 2008 after earning her Masters of Library Science.  She worked for Tom Green County Library System for the 11 years prior to that at the Main Library.  She will be replaced by Jill Ratcliffe, who has served as the Assistant Branch Manager since 2016.

Under Coley’s direction, Angelo West Branch has grown and improved.  With the help of mentors in librarianship and the Friends of the Library, West Branch has become a wonderful, open attractive space for the community to enjoy.

Coley has mentored many others over her tenure at TGC Library and has helped them grow in their education and careers, moving on to bigger and better things including two who moved on to college libraries and two who earned MLS degrees.

A Retirement Celebration in honor of Coley is being held at the West Branch Library on Tuesday, July 31 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.  Her patrons are invited to stop by and wish her well. Refreshments will be provided.

West Branch is located at 3013 Vista Del Arroyo.
