Buc-ee's Set to Break Ground on First West Texas Location

 

AMARILLO, TX – The world's largest convenience store is set to break ground on its first store in West Texas.

According to Buc-ee's, on Oct. 26, 2023, at 1 p.m., city leaders and Buc-ee's personnel will break ground on the location on I-40 near Airport Blvd, in Amarillo.

This will be the first Buc-ee's in West Texas. When asked why the move to the Texas Panhandle, Buc-ee's confirmed that this was a perfect middle spot for drivers between Los Angeles and New York City.

The gas station will be 74,000 square feet and will offer 108 fueling positions and 24 EV charging stations. On top of that, the store will bring 200 full-time jobs to the area.

The opening date has not been revealed at this time.
