Sayonara Shabu – Japanese Buffet Closing Permanently

SAN ANGELO, TX - Shabu has decided to close its doors on Monday, Feb 26 permanently.

The last effective day of business will be Sunday, Feb. 25.

“We can’t fully express our deep gratitude for your business and support,” Shabu stated. “Serving (the) San Angelo community with All You Can Eat Hot Pot/KBBQ has been nothing but an absolute pleasure.

The Japanese “All You Can Eat” style restaurant will continue to serve as normal until Monday.

“Thank you so much for all of your love,” the business stated.

Restaurants have struggled in the location on Sherwood Way. The building was originally a Pizza Hut.  Pizza Hut closed and built a new location a block down the street.

As we reported earlier, it was then opened as Agua Bistro for a short while. Then, the restaurant became the Blue Tiger with limited success as well.

The Japanese eatery then opened as Shabuya, then shortened the name to Shabu.
