A Day of Crashes, Spills and Wrecked Fire Hydrants

SAN ANGELO, TX – Today has been the day for crashes, spills and busted fire hydrants.

Earlier today, San Angelo Police responded to a crash on W. Concho and S. Abe. There were no major injuries, but a person involved in that crash did suffer an anxiety attack and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

SAPD Officer Alvarez said the driver of a silver car was traveling northbound on Alexander and the driver of a Charger was traveling westbound, but failed to yield the right of way. As a result, the vehicles collided, and the Charger hit the fire hydrant.

Currently, water in the area has been turned off as officials work on the busted hydrant, and SAPD is not sure as to the restore time.
