20-Year-Old Dallas Man Dies in Coleman County Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX - A 20-year-old Dallas man died early this morning after losing control of his vehicle on SH-206, about 7.5 miles southwest of Burkett.

Department of Public Safety officials said Emmanuel A. Rodriguez was traveling south on SH-206 at about 1:20 a.m. in 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. He was traveling too fast through a curve and ended up veering off the roadway. The Chrysler went through a concrete culvert, rolled over into several trees, and Rodriguez ejected from the vehicle.

At the time of the crash, Rodriguez was wearing a seat belt, said DPS. Officials pronounced the Dallas man dead at the scene, and his body was transported to Henderson Funeral Home in Coleman.

DPS also said the posted speed limit in the area is 75 mph, and the road and weather conditions were dry and clear. The crash is under investigation.
