Driver Killed In Head-On Collision With 18-Wheeler

KERMIT, TX --A fatal crash left one person dead on Sunday night.

According to DPS, the crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on State Highway 302, four miles east of Kermit.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a Jeep Liberty had been involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the Jeep Liberty crossed the center stripe and crashed into the 18-wheeler head-on.

The driver of the Liberty was identified as 37-year-old Enrique Porras. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
