Biker Killed in Head-On Crash

 

EASTLAND, TX – A crash near Lake Leon took the life of a 50-year-old biker on Saturday. 

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Oct. 10 at 12:02 a.m., troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were dispatched to FM-570, 1.8 miles East of Eastland, near Lake Leon for the report of a major crash. 

When troopers arrived on scene they found a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and 2013 Audi A6 that had crashed in the middle of the roadway. 

Involved in the crash were one person on the Harley, Bradley Cecil Segers, male, 50, of Midland, and one person in the Audi, Madison Paige Bradley, female, 32, of Eastland. 

Bradley was transported to Eastland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The report states that she was wearing her seatbelt.

Segers was pronounced dead at the scene his body taken to Edward’s Funeral Home in Eastland. 

After further investigation the Audi was traveling North on FM-570, while the motorcycle was traveling South. The Audi crossed the center line crashing head on with Motorcycle.

At the time of the crash the road was dry and the skies were clear but dark.
