Several Injured in Cotton Gin Explosion

 

ACKERLY, TX – Several workers were injured in a cotton gin explosion Thursday morning in a small West Texas town. 

According to KCBD, on Oct. 15, firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the Flower Grove Co-op Cotton Gin for the report of an explosion. 

Several injuries have been reported and at least two people were airlifted to Lubbock. 

The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time however OSHA is investigating. 

The explosion occurred around 7:30 a.m.
