Ozona Man Killed in Rain Soaked Rollover Crash

 

OZONA, TX – An Ozona, TX man was killed in a rollover crash on TX-137 ten miles northwest of Ozona early Friday morning. 

According to troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety, 24-year-old Isidro Lopez, Jr. was northbound in his 1997 Ford F-250 in a construction zone. 

The report shows the roadway was slick because it was raining.  Lopez was traveling at unsafe speed when his pickup lost traction and went into a side skid.  The pickup veered left into the southbound lane and left the roadway in the west ditch.  

Lopez was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the pickup as in rolled several times crashing through a fence.  The pickup ended in an upright position. 

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
