All Clear Following Bomb Threat at Shannon Downtown

SAN ANGELO, TX – A bomb threat caused a small scare Tuesday morning at Shannon downtown but firefighters say there is no need to panic.

According to a Shannon spokesperson, very early on Sep. 14, a bomb threat was called in to the Shannon downtown campus.

"We quickly enacted our emergency response plan to ensure the safety of everyone within the building," said Lyndy Stone, Director of Marketing for Shannon.

Officers with the San Angelo Police Department and firefighters with the San Angelo Fire Department were both dispatched to Shannon and have given the all clear.

San Angelo's Fire Marshall's Office is handling the investigation.
