ABILENE – The Abilene Police Department confirmed the death of another crash victim on Thursday marking the third fatal crash in just three days.

According to the APD's Public Information Coordinator Rick Tomlin, on Sep. 21 at 8:02 p.m., officers with the Abilene Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Ambler Ave. and Westmoreland St. for the report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

When they arrived, the officers discovered a 2014 white Chevy Silverado that had struck a 75-year-old woman that was crossing the street at an unmarked crosswalk.

The woman, identified as Yeah-Sook Kim, 75, of Abilene, was taken to the hospital where she later died.

No citations have been issued at this time but APD says they are still investigating.

"The Abilene Police Department wishes to extend condolences to the Kim family, and the other families who have suffered the loss of their loved ones" stated Ofc. Tomlin.
