WATCH: Three Car Crash Blocks Busy Northside Intersection Tuesday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Two occupants in a small car were hospitalized on Tuesday after running a red light on the Northside of San Angelo.

According to Officer Welch with the San Angelo Police Department, on Oct. 12, Officers with the SAPD, Firefighters with the San Angelo Fire Department, and EMS crews were dispatched to the intersection of 19th and N. Bryant for the report of a major crash.

When the crews arrived, they discovered a three vehicle crash involving a Blue Hyundai Sonata, a White Hyundai Sonata, and a Lincoln MKZ.

Dispatch originally called the crash with individuals trapped inside the White Hyundai. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to Shannon via ambulance. 

Officer Welch determined during his investigation that the White Hyundai was traveling west on 19th and disregarded the stop sign, ultimately causing the crash.

When the White Hyundai ran the light it was struck by the Blue Hyundai. The Blue car then hit the the MKZ. Both the Blue Hyundai and the MKZ were heading south on N. Bryant.
